Cycle Preset

CYCLE White Loop alternations from minimum to maximum power.

Adjusting its parameters you can obtain different effects (wave, cross-wave, gyre, ...).

Parametres Preset Cycle 01

MIN (%): minimum power value (in percentage)

MAX (%): maximum power value (in percentage)

T MIN (sec): stable duration at minimum power (in seconds)

T MAX (sec): stable duration at maximum power (in seconds)

T RISE (sec): transition time to pass from MIN to MAX (in seconds). Min value of 0.25

T FALL (sec): transition time to pass from MAX to MIN (in seconds). Min value of 0.25

NOTE: Minimum pulse duration can result in 0,5 sec

Preset Types

{

Yes of course, Waver is designed to recreate the natural ocean currents on coral reef. There can be different effects you can obtain with the Mover + Waver.

CYCLE White Use the Preset "Cycle" and edit the adjustable parameters to obtain the desired wave.

Some suggestions:

- The higher is the difference between MIN% - MAX%, the better is the wave effect (example 1% - 100% )

- TRISE and TFALL: leave these parameters at minimum (0,25 sec)

- TMIN and TMAX: this values change accordingly to the length of the tank and the pump models. This defines the increase / decrease in waves level.

Examples:

Wave effect

- Movers' placement: opposite short sides

- MIN%: 1     MAX%: 100

- TRISE / TFALL (sec): 0,25

- TMIN / TMAX (sec):

  • Tank length -> 24in -> 0,22*
  • Tank length -> 35in -> 0,32*
  • Tank length -> 47in -> 0,43*

- CH1 not inverted CH2 inverted

*Average values of maximum wave. Surrounding values will result in a lower wave effect.

Try to increase / decrease these values to obtain the desired wave and wait 20-30 seconds to let the wave stabilize.

Cross-wave effect

- Movers' placement: opposite short sides

- MIN%: 1     MAX%: 100

- TRISE / TFALL (sec): 0,25

- TMIN / TMAX (sec):

  • Tank lenght -> 24in -> 0,06*
  • Tank lenght -> 35in -> 0,10*
  • Tank lenght -> 47in -> 0,14*

- CH1 not inverted CH2 not inverted

*Average values of maximum wave. Surrounding values will result in a lower wave effect.

Try to increase / decrease these values to obtain the desired wave and wait 20-30 seconds to let the wave stabilize.

Gyre

- Movers' placement: opposite long sides

- MIN%: 1     MAX%: 100

- TRISE / TFALL (sec): 0,25

- TMIN / TMAX (sec):

  • Tank width -> 11in -> 0,04*
  • Tank width -> 17in -> 0,08*
  • Tank width -> 24in -> 0,12*

- CH1 not inverted CH2 not inverted

*Average values of maximum wave. Surrounding values will result in a lower wave effect.

Try to increase / decrease these values to obtain the desired wave and wait 20-30 seconds to let the wave stabilize.

Use and maintenance

{

The product doesn’t require any particular maintenance but it’s important to keep surfaces clean especially from humidity or dust deposits which could influence the correct operation of the capacitive touch button.
To keep the surfaces clean, it’s enough to pass a soft dry cloth. We recommend to use soft tissues.

Do not use any kind of solvent or abrasive paper!

{

Yes, pay attention to not select a different model than the one actually plugged-in and to not reverse channels especially in case of maintenance.

{

No, Waver is compatible with Rossmont products only. The damage caused by connection of other-brand devices are not covered by our warranty.

{

No, it's not possible. Waver is designed to control one device per channel. The damage caused by connection of more products on same extension socket is excluded from warranty.

{

We suggest you to insert the two Waver units into a home lan network and to assign a different IP address each.

E.g. :

  • Waver 1 -> 192.168.1.77
  • Waver 2 -> 192.168.1.92

When the Waver Slave will be available, it will be possible to turn one of the 2 master units into a Slave and then control both by 1 interface.

Insert Waver Into A LAN Waver IP Address

{

Included in the box, we supply 2 super-adhesive velcro stips to help users in Waver placement on the tank glass, inside cabinet or wherever you prefer.

NOTE: The device can't be operated at a room temperature higher than 35°C / 95F.

Velcro Strips

It’s recommended to clean the surface where the velcro strip is sticked, especially from humidity or dust deposits.

The perfect adhesion takes approx 72 hours.

{

The power cord length is 1.5m (5ft) and it plugs directly into the wall outlet without the need of any adaptor. Channels extension cables are 0.5m (1.8ft) long.

{

No, it's not necessary. Just Tap & hold the capacitive touch button for 6 second. It interrupts the output current on channels without shutting down the whole unit (conceived for pumps maintenance). While this function is active it’s possible to unplug the connected devices from the extension cables.

To exit from this mode Tap & hold again the capacitive button for 1 second.

Capacitive Touch Button

{

No, it's not necessary. Tap & hold the capacitive touch button for 2 second. It brings all the connected pumps at minimum power for the feeding operation (fish food). By default, this mode lasts for 5 minutes then the unit automatically continues to follow the program. To manually exit this mode, tap & hold the capacitive button for 1 second.

Alternatively you can log into the web interface and in the main screen press " MANUAL FISH FOOD"
Manual Fish Food
Or you can apply a Fish Food preset.

OFF   White

In case you need to completely switch off pumps, you can either apply an "Off" Preset.

Fish protection grid* is recommended in this case.

*FISH PROTECTION GRID is not compatible with Mover MX models if powered by Waver.

Other information

{

SSID is the name of your home wireless network (WLAN).

(Service Set Identifier)

{

Direct Access is the direct WiFi connection between the Waver unit and Smartphone, PC or Tablet.

Infrastructure Mode is the connection between Wavers' WiFi and an access point (router, modem, ..). So Waver can be included into the home wireless network.

Technical support

{

It means the pump has not enough power to spin correctly and this can be mainly due to 4 factors in our chance:

  • Verify on Waver that the latest Firmware /Software version has been correctly installed.
Visit our dowload area
Download

  • There's friction/interference between bearings and rotor. The operation to do is to pull up the rotor (by maintaining it in its housing) and to move it backward using quite strength with hands. Then repeat the same operation after having rotated it half a turn (180°) and after this operation it will be completely free to move up and down without "scratching". After this operation, please let the pump go at 100% (or without Waver) possibly at least for 4-6 hours. This should settle definitely the bearings. -> Watch the following video
Manual Rotor Alignment

  • The blade edge of the propeller is accidenatally ruined  (stones, pieces of rock, ..)
Propeller Blade Edge
Use sandpaper (grit 180 ÷ 320) on propeller blade edges and remove any eventual imperfection. -> Watch the following video
Remove Propeller Blade Imperfection

  • Front chamber is removed. Put front chamber on. Never use the pump without front chamber.
{

You can use the protection grid on all M models but you can't use the protection grid on the MX Models with Waver.
